1. How much time do I need to volunteer?
- The minimum time for internships/fellowships is 1 week and the maximum is 1 year.
- There is no minimum for impact vacation and is very flexible in terms of time you would like to contribute.
There will be a 3 day orientation upon landing that will cover culture, safety, expectations, getting around, getting familiar with your location, language and other questions there might be!
Remote opportunities depend on the partnering organization so if you request it, we can try to find a way to make it work.
All expenses will be out of pocket but expenses paid for in your package will be covered through the initial payments made to GLP.
5. How old do I have to be to Volunteer?
18 years of age
6. Can I claim benefits while volunteering?
You can apply for school credit
7. I’ve got a criminal record – can I still volunteer?
Unfortunately, no
8. I feel I need some extra support to volunteer – is that possible?
It depends on your needs and the capacity with which we can support it. But if we can most definitely try!
9. Can I get a qualification or an award?
You can request for a letter of recommendation once your volunteer service is over.

11. How do I become a volunteer?
Apply on our website and we will let you know if you are approved. Once you are approved, then we will need the registration payment as well as the payment for the package

Expectations, budget, skills background and health
It depends on your passion! We believe that if you are passionate and curious, then you can learn anything and have something to contribute.
To get exposed to a different way of life! You will meet so many great people, go through ups and downs and most importantly, you will learn about yourself and just how strong you are!
